Explore how companies are using Triweco’s custom solutions to unlock the true potential of advanced manufacturing, reaching optimal automation and throughput.

Cabinovo

Location: Canada

Cabinovo delivers missing middle housing at scale, with a goal of building one million homes in the next ten years. They partner with homeowners, developers, and industry stakeholders to unlock underutilized land by producing multiplexes that blend seamlessly into near-core neighbourhoods and assembling them quickly onsite, bringing more homes to communities faster and with minimal disruption.

Triweco will deliver a state-of-the-art production line to Cabinovo, customized for steel-frame modular construction. Custom features of this line include sideways transported panels, a feeder table for the framing station to simplify the flow of heavy steel beams, and a butterfly table that can turn panels both forwards and back again.

CABN

Location: Canada

CABN is a clean tech company advancing an innovative manufacturing process for net-zero, cost-efficiency, prefabricated housing. CABN's homes are built with CLT panels that provide insulation properties and beautifully esthetic design, all wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests and Passive Haus building design maximizes the airtightness of the buildings.

Triweco will supply industrial house manufacturing expertise, advanced machinery, robotics (supplied by ABB) and software to CABN. Our advanced manufacturing line is designed to boost CABN’s home production capacity sixfold, enabling the factory to produce up to 300 homes annually.

VårgårdaHus

Location: Sweden

VårgårdaHus is one of the leading house manufacturers in southern Sweden, with offsite construction produced successfully since 1987. They deliver high-quality prefabricated homes, with a strong focus on customer needs and individual design.

Triweco conducted a comprehensive feasibility study to identify strategic automation opportunities aimed at increasing production capacity. By analyzing VårgårdaHus’ existing manufacturing processes, production volumes, and takt times, Triweco produced a blueprint to consolidate three current production lines into a single, automated line with more automation. The solution allowed the cycle time for wall elements to be more than halved.

BoKlok

Location: Sweden

BoKlok is a residential housing concept providing sustainable home ownership since 1996. The concept is developed and jointly owned by Skanska and IKEA and prioritizes efficient construction methods and carefully selected materials ensuring cost effective solutions without compromising quality. BoKlok currently operates in Sweden and the UK.

Triweco was tasked with designing and delivering two lines for BoKlok's new factory in Sweden. The new factory features a fully automated, high-output assembly line. The modules produced are fully finished with kitchens, bathrooms, and all installations are ready to be quickly assembled on-site.

Lett-Tak

Location: Norway

Lett-Tak Systemer AS is one of the leading suppliers of roof elements in the Nordics, with 40+ years of experience in the industry.

Triweco was commissioned to design and develop the production equipment for Lett-Tak’s new environmentally friendly roof element, “Lett-Tak Wood”. This new product has a significantly lower CO₂ footprint compared to traditional solutions and is seen as the next generation of roof elements.

The production line includes several innovative features, such as automatic cleaning of surfaces to be glued, glue application with controlled flow rates, and gentle, careful flipping of the element—where the flippers automatically adjust based on the element’s current thickness.

Minera Roof Trusses & Joists

Location: UK

Minera Roof Trusses & Joists, based in North Wales, have been supplying roof trusses since 1977.

Triweco were commissioned to build a production line of wall panels for Passive Houses for Minera/TyEco. Houses built to passive house standards are constructed so that all conceivable heat losses are minimized, and an airtight and well-insulated building is created.
